POLYGORE: DEAD CITY
POLYGORE: DEAD CITY is a project inspired by Gamedev.Tv's ZombieRunner project combined with the knowledge I've gained while studying for an Advanced Diploma of Game Design via the Academy of Interactive Entertainment in Australia. This game was developed as part of the Complete C# Unity Game Developer 3D Online Course. For this project, I opted to utilize a low-poly city zombie pack from Synty and incorporated animations sourced from Mixamo. In addition to the core elements, I introduced some supplementary features. Notably, I integrated a limited charge function for turning off the in-game torch and incorporated hit reactions for the zombies upon sustaining damage.
While the project stands as a work-in-progress, it lacks audio elements and requires further refinement. The groundwork has been laid, culminating in the progress achieved over the weekend. Looking ahead, I am contemplating the integration of fundamental survival/metabolism mechanics and a melee weapon system, subject to the availability of time.
It's worth mentioning that I'm currently in the beginning stages of major production for my Advanced Diploma of Game Design. A timeline for implementing UI elements related to ammo and win conditions remains uncertain. Nevertheless, the overarching conceptual framework has been established.
there is a WebGL and a Windows version available the Windows Version is the better option at this stage however the WebGL version serves its current purpose..
Controls:
WASD = Movement
Left Click = Shoot
Right Click = Zoom In
T = Turn On / Off Torch
Escape = Quit Application
Alpha Keys 1 - 3 = Switch Weapon
Mouse Wheel Up/Down = Change Weapon (Not Ideal for WebGL use Alpha 1-3)
