Version 0.1.3 - Unit and Weapon Balancing


In this latest update the following changes have been made:

Unit  Balancing

  1. The tank unit can now only heal inside the immediate square due to the extended range decreasing the importance of the support unit in the team.
  2. The Support unit has had the heal range increased and both the ranged and melee damage reduced to take on a more supportive role in the warband.
  3. The Crossbow / Ranged Unit has had shoot damage increased and a position tick and effect added to give the player more feedback during the damage phase.  Due to the nature of the crossbow unit striking with the but of the weapon melee damage has been reduced.
  4. All Units now are unable to heal over the maximum health value as it was noted that players could over-heal before entering combat preventing damage.
  5. The Golem has had an HP Increase and melee damage increase and AI has been improved to prevent the Unit from getting stuck in the corner as reported in playtesting.
  6. The spellcast unit now has increased shooting range and movement allowing them to maintain ranged distance effectively and when out of range the spellcaster unit will now cast heal on themselves rather than the random grenade throw which was ineffective in most combat situations.
  7. The poison grenade now has a limited range to represent throwing range and to encourage the player to enter into the AI detection range to push the combat.


Main Menu

1. A Main Menu option was added with options to allow the player to adjust master volume, music volume and sound effect volume.  the menu can be accessed by pressing escape during the game and allows the player to quit the application.


The main focus moving forward will be regarding weapon balancing, AI intelligence and  Unit Balancing.
